Satellite Today has learned that satellite operator Yahsat is undergoing preparations to begin operations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Specific plans, including what types of services Yahsat will offer, have not been disclosed, but it is reported that the fledgling operator would use at least one of the orbital slots already held by the UAE to accommodate the satellites of Thuraya.
