- Berlin-based German TV signed a contract with EchoStar Communications‘ [DISH] DISH Network in which DISH will carry German public- television programming. EchoStar customers could receive the programming for an additional fee of $9.99 a month.
DISH Network has established a wide array of ethnic and foreign language programming to cater to niche markets. It now offers more than 90 international channels from 25-plus countries and in more than 25 languages.
