No Matter Who Gets Galileo Contract, Navteq Wins

      Navteq [NVT], a provider of digital maps for vehicle navigation and locations-based solutions, said it will supply its products to whichever group – the Eurely (including Alcatel, Finmeccanica, Vinci Concessions and Capgemini) consortium or the iNavSat (including EADS Space, Inmarsat Ventures and The Thales Group) consortium – wins the bid to develop and deploy the satellites that will make up the European Union-based Galileo constellation and provide location information in conjunction with the U.S.-based GPS satellite system. The winning bid for the Galileo project should be announced later this year.
