Conax, a leading European-based Conditional Access (CA) supplier, announced two key appointments and it hopes to drive more revenues out of the Asia Pacific market. It has created a new position of vice president of Asia within the company, appointing Raza Ansar to this role. To further emphasize its drive into the region, Conax also appointed Daewoong Sohn as sales manager for the Koreas. Sohn had been working with Miraeonline, a South Korean provider of digital TV, high-speed Internet and newscasting via satellite. He will operate out of Seoul. These appointments mean that Conax will be present in Singapore, China, India and South Korea.
