Tandberg Hires New Execs

Tandberg Television made some new executive appointments as it looks to strengthen its presence in the North American broadband and cable sector. The company, which provides solutions in digital television across different platforms, hired David Eng as its director of cable business development. Eng will be responsible for expanding the company’s exposure throughout the cable industry in the Americas. In addition, David Wright has been appointed senior account manager, handling telco, video and cable accounts in the United States.

Eng hopes the company’s solutions will enable cable operators to compete more effectively against the satellite competition. He comments, “We are a market leader in video compression. This expertise will benefit U.S. cable operators as they look for competitive solutions for their all digital networks.”
