GlobeCast Get A Kick Out Of World Cup Qualifying Match

GlobeCast is part of France Telecom but it gained a Latin accent with its latest deal to provide coverage of the recent soccer match between the United States and El Salvador. The Oct. 9 World Cup qualifying match, won 2-0 by the United States, was delivered to CR Sports. The match from San Salvador featured a feed from El Salvador’s Canal 4 that was transmitted through two discrete and encrypted signals to GlobeCast’s Miami teleport. GlobeCast then produced an English-language telecast to deliver redundant and secure satellite and terrestrial services to pay-per-view broadcasters DirecTV, EchoStar Communications [DISH] and In Demand.

New Jersey-based CR Sports is a FIFA-licensed sports marketing and production company that holds the exclusive worldwide broadcast rights to the Salvadoran national soccer team.
