By Staff Writer | October 7, 2004

Satlynx, the two-way, pan-European broadband services provider, gave a boost to virtual-private-network (VPN) solution providers in Europe by announcing a series of approvals for its VPN solutions, part of its general program of monitoring and product testing.

Paul Heinerscheid, president and CEO of Satlynx, commented, “The use of VPN is commonplace across the Internet, especially where business is conducted across multiple sites and as working from home is adopted as an alternative to commuting.”

The VPN solutions come from a number of vendors, and they will provide small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) and small office/home office (SOHO) customers with enhanced- performance VPNs over satellite. The vendors include Encore, Mentat, Tellitec and Udcast.
