Weida Communications Inc. [WDAC.OB] said its Guangzhou Weida Communications Ltd. operating partner signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Telecom under which Weida will offer its satellite transmission equipment and network as part of a disaster-recovery program and backup system for China Telecom’s major accounts. It also will furnish Internet capability. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
