PanAmSat Launches Note Offering

PanAmSat Corp. yesterday launched an offer of Senior Notes maturing in 2014, the proceeds of which will be used in the pending acquisition of PanAmSat by affiliates of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., LP, The Carlyle Group, and Providence Equity Partners Inc. PanAmSat expects to yield more than $1 billion in gross proceeds from the note offering.
