Patrick Brant, former president and COO of Loral CyberStar, is joining satellite phone service Iridium Satellite LLC as its newest executive-team member.

Brant will serve in a multi-dimensional role as executive vice president of sales, marketing and business development starting July 19. He brings more than 20 years of senior- level management experience to Iridium.

At Loral CyberStar, a satellite data-networking company, Brant focused on upgrading the sales and marketing structure, oversaw a dramatic growth in revenue and managed the successful merger of his business unit with Loral Skynet.

“His business focus has been broad, covering both international and domestic markets,” said Neil Bauer, the former CEO of Loral Cyberstar. “His level of experience will serve Iridium well, not only in driving new revenue but also in the overall development of company strategy and operational management.”
