Shaw Communications Inc. [SJR] posted its third consecutive quarter of profitability with a net income of $18.3 million earned in the third fiscal quarter of 2004, up from a net loss of $9.63 million during the same period last year. Shaw also reported, for the first time, positive free cash flow from its satellite division, with service revenue increasing year over year by12.4 percent to $113.1 million for the quarter. In addition, the satellite division upped its year-over-year operating income for the quarter, before amortization, by 77.6 percent, to $81 million.
