Helius, PIT Form Strategic Alliance

Officials from Helius Inc. today said Pittsburgh International Telecommunications (PIT) has joined the Helius strategic alliance program. PIT’s teleport provides telecom transport, switching and satellite transmission technology with full-fiber connectivity to major interexchange carriers. Combined with Helius’ software solutions for data broadcasting, PIT not will be able to offer its customers full video and telecom services, enabling them to broadcast video, to streamline data and to use interactive distance learning more efficiently. Financial terms of the strategic alliance were not disclosed.
