DISH Network Passes 10 Million-Customer Milestone

      EchoStar Communications Corp. [DISH] officials today announced the company surpassed the 10 million-subscriber mark for its DISH Network direct-to- home satellite television service. To celebrate the milestone, 1,000 existing customers will be chosen at random to receive a high- definition television system, complete with a monitor, HD satellite receiver, a dish antenna and a one-year subscription to Dish’s HD programming.

      EchoStar reportedly is averaging more than 100,000 net new subscribers each month, and it has added more than 6.3 million net new customers during the last four years.
