By Staff Writer | June 8, 2004

Washington, D.C.-based XM Satellite Radio will broadcast live interviews and acoustic sets by artists from the sold-out 2004 Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, Tenn. From June 11 to June 13, XM will use its XM Live Channel, XM 26 to broadcast music coast-to-coast from the outdoor musical festival.

The music festival’s diverse lineup will include such artists as Bob Dylan, the Dead, Dave Matthews & Friends, Wilco, Yo La Tengo, My Morning Jacket, Trey Anastasio, Beth Orton and others. “XM’s broadcast of Bonnaroo continues our tradition of giving our listeners the very best in commercial-free music today, especially live music,” said Lee Abrams, XM’s chief programming officer.

Rolling Stone magazine called Bonnaroo, which this year is attracting 90,000 music fans, “the American rock festival to end all festivals.”
