MTG CEO Sets Ambitious Target

      Modern Times Group (MTG) aims to become one of the biggest media companies in Europe. The company already is a significant player in the pay-TV and free-TV markets in the Nordic region and in Eastern Europe, and it hopes to cement its position still further. Hans-Holger Albrecht, MTG’s CEO, commented to Satellite Today, “Last year, we had the best financial results ever and a strong balance sheet. This year, we are investing our time in content, marketing and expansion. If you look at the company today and the assets and the business that it has, we can build this company, in the next three to five years, to be one of the biggest television companies in Europe.”
