STMicroelectronics [STM] officials today said the company is offering a new single-chip silicon tuner, the STB6000, designed to replace complex discrete component tuners in set-top boxes that receive digital TV or Web-based content via satellite. The input frequency range of the new chip is 950 MHz to 2150 MHz.
