Alcatel Space announced the successful launch of the Express AM11 satellite on a Proton vehicle from the Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan last night. The satellites are operated by the Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC). The next Express AM satellites to be launched, AM2 and AM3, also will be fitted with Alcatel Space payloads. Alcatel Space supplies Express AM satellite payloads to prime contractor NPO-PM.
