Inmarsat Group Ltd. today reported that for the year ending Dec. 31, 2003, revenues increased 8.9 percent to $504.5 million, up from $463.1 million in 2002. In a statement released by company officials today, the increase was attributed to the introduction of new services and the benefit from global security events, offset by the migration of end-users from higher-priced analog to lower-priced digital services and mandatory price reductions in Inmarsat’s satellite communications services. Revenues from satellite communications services were $422.3 million, up 8.3 percent from the previous year.
