Russian Broadcast Satellite Set For April 27 Launch

      Russian Satellite Communications Co. said its communications and broadcasting Express-AM11 satellite will be launched into geostationary orbit at 96.5 degrees East on April 27. The bird will be delivered into orbit aboard a Proton-K launch vehicle.

      The Express-AM11 satellite was designed by NPO PM in cooperation with Alcatel Space. It carries 26 C-band transponders and 4 Ku-band transponders, and it has a lifetime of 12 years.
