DirecTV [DTV] has agreed to settle a lawsuit it filed last fall against PaySystems and a number of defendants who DirecTV claimed were processing payments for merchants selling goods marketed or designed to allow piracy of the company’s satellite TV service. Specific terms of the settlement were not disclosed, although DirecTV officials said PaySystems is subject to an injunction prohibiting it from offering any services to merchants who sell piracy-related goods and services.
