New York City-based technology firm On2 Technologies [ONT] signed a contract with China Netcom Communication International Corporation (CNC) to use On2’s VP6.2 video codec and TrueCast servers to broadcast video via satellite and the Internet for educational and cultural projects in China. Financial terms were not disclosed. On2 is a video compression company, while CNC International is a broadband communications service provider.
