General Dynamics [GD] has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire privately held Spectrum Astro Inc., a space systems integrator for the U.S. government.

General Dynamics said that Spectrum Astro’s capabilities, which include manufacturing and integration of spacecraft subsystems hardware, software and ground support equipment, will become a part of General Dynamics C4 Systems. The deal is expected to close within the next 60 days.
