FastWeb, an Italian based broadband telecommunications company, chose Israel based-Optibase‘s [OBAS] MGW 5100 to stream satellite channels in multicast mode over a fiber and DSL network for 110,000 residential end users. FastWeb TV allows subscribers to access a selection of Italian broadcasts via satellite.
