El Segundo, Calif.-based DirecTV, the largest U.S. satellite television services provider, added to its executive team by naming Richard Slenker to become its executive vice president of technology and engineering operations. Slenker will oversee engineering, technology and systems development, and integration support for DirecTV operations nationwide.

Slenker most recently was executive vice president of engineering and operations for FOX Television Stations. In this position, he was responsible for the implementation and execution of all technology decisions, technical station upgrades and overseeing various station engineering staffs. He also managed the digital TV build-out for all FOX owned and operated stations across the country.
