Lanham, Md.-based Integral Systems [Nasdaq: ISYS] notched a 2.5 percent rise in revenues for the first quarter of fiscal 2004 to reach $20.1 million, up from $19.6 million in the same quarter of fiscal 2003, company officials said.

Operating income at the satellite systems provider rose to $1.9 million for the quarter, up 46 percent from $1.3 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2003. Net income increased 41 percent to $1.2 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2004, compared to $850,000 in the same quarter of fiscal 2003. On a fully diluted basis, net income per share climbed to 12 cents during the first quarter of fiscal 2004, up from 9 cents for the same quarter of fiscal 2003.

“We are pleased to see operating income growing faster than revenue on a quarter-to-quarter basis,” said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Steven R. Chamberlain. “We are also pleased that both [business units] SAT and Newpoint posted positive operating income for the quarter.”
