Samsung Electronics, a Seoul-based manufacturer of electronic products, has completed development of a satellite digital media-broadcasting (DMB) chip for mobile phones and automobiles. The satellite DMB chip is able to receive satellite broadcast signals and convert them into video images. The chip also bills the customer for the service.
