Israel-based Gilat Satellite Networks’ [Nasdaq: GILTF] Spacenet subsidiary has received a contract to supply a satellite-based communications network to the Kenyan postal service, Posta Kenya. Financial terms were not disclosed. Gilat’s DialAw@y IP platform will be installed in Kenyan post offices. Each post office will get three PCs connected to a local area network. Internet access will be provided by Telkom Kenya using Gilat’s prepaid Internet system. Installation is expected to be completed in the first quarter of this year.
