General Motors Expands XM Satellite Radio Availability

      General Motors [NYSE: GM] announced Monday that it would be increasing the availability of XM Satellite Radio [Nasdaq: XMSR] on more than 50 cars and trucks in the 2005 model year. XM is currently available on 42 GM products in the 2004 model year. XM Radio will be factory-installed on 12 additional GM models, including the Buick Terraza and LaCrosse, Cadillac STS, Chevy Cobalt, Uplander, Corvette and Equinox, Hummer H2 and H2 SUT, Pontiac G6 and Montana SV6, and Saturn Relay.

      Separately, XM announced that it has launched its 100 percent commercial-free, music-programming lineup.
