Seattle, Wash.-based Tenzing Communications and Emirates Airlines have formed a partnership to offer inflight email service on the Emirates fleet. Starting in the first quarter with new Airbus A340-500 aircraft and progressing across the fleet, Emirates’ inflight email will be enabled by loading Tenzing software onto a server already fitted to the aircraft and connected to an existing communications system via a Wi-Fi connection. SITA will provide the air-to-ground link via the Inmarsat satellite system.
