Foxtel, a Sydney, Australia-based digital cable and satellite television company, is expanding its digital TV services offering following approval by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) of a third-party access agreement. The Foxtel agreement will allow third parties to use Foxtel’s platforms to offer subscription TV services. With ACCC’s approval, Foxtel plans to invest A$600 million (US$445.7 million) to expand its digital cable and satellite services in Australia.
