Trafficmaster, a British supplier of digital traffic information and telematics services, has signed agreements with Japanese auto makers Nissan Motor Co. [Nasdaq: NSANY]and Mazda Motor Corp. for its Trackstar stolen vehicle-tracking product marketed as RAC Trackstar. RAC Trackstar is a GPS-based stolen vehicle- tracking product, providing 24-hour protection and enabling stolen vehicles to be tracked. If the vehicle is started or moved illegally, Trackstar will alert the national control center and provide continuous updates on its location. The control center team will then work closely with the local police to recover the vehicle.
