Trimble [Nasdaq: TRMB], a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based GPS device provider, and CNH Global [NYSE: CNH], a Lake Forest Ill.-based agricultural equipment provider, are teaming to design and develop automated steering systems for tractors. Financial terms were not disclosed. The automated steering systems will be based on Trimble’s AgGPS Autopilot technology and will be available on certain CNH’s Holland and Case brand tractors. The systems will be available both as original equipment and also through the aftermarket.
