Stratos Global [Toronto: SGB], a Bethesda, Md.-based telecommunication provider, and Inmarsat, a London-based mobile satellite operator, have renewed their distribution agreement under which Stratos will distribute Inmarsat services using next-generation satellites. This agreement will replace the two companies’ Land Earth Operating (LESO) agreement, which will expire in 2004. The new distribution agreement will be valid through 2009.
