Digital Angel, [Amex: DOC], a South Saint Paul, Minn.-based provider of GPS tracking and monitoring devices, has named Scott R. Silverman as vice chairman of the company. Silverman currently serves as CEO and chairman of Applied Digital Solutions [Nasdaq: ADSX], which is the parent company of Digital Angel. He will continue to serve in those capacities. The current chairman, Richard J. Sullivan, will retire on or before the next shareholders’ meeting in 2004.
