SES Astra, AVC Team To Offer Satellite Internet In UK

SES Astra, [Luxembourg: SESG] a Luxembourg based- SES Global subsidiary, has teamed up with AVC, a UK-based network and communications company, to launch broadband satellite Internet service in the UK. This is the first nationwide satellite Internet service in the UK, according to the companies. They are offering unlimited high-speed access with up to 512 Kbps download speeds for an undisclosed price. The service will use Astra’s satellites located at 19.2 and 28.2 degrees East Longitude.
