Melville, N.Y.-based Comtech Telecommunications Corp. [Nasdaq: CMTL] has received a $1.5 million order for its messaging and location tracking mobile satellite transceivers. Comtech didn’t release the name of the company that submitted the order. Comtech’s Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corp., will fill the equipment request. The Maryland-based unit provides satellite-based packet data communication systems and location and messaging services for the land transportation, remote sensing, utility and aviation markets.
