AirIQ, a Toronto-based telematics company, has expanded a suite of satellite-based telematic services to complement its terrestrial-based services. AirIQ will now offer terrestrial or satellite-based fleet management services to its commercial trucking clients. The AirIQ satellite services are made possible through an agreement with ORBCOMM, a Dulles, Va.-based satellite communications company that provides narrowband, two-way digital messaging and data communications using its 30 low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellites and terrestrial gateways deployed around the world.
