Tempe, Ariz.-based Comtech EF Data Corp., a subsidiary of Comtech Telecommunications Corp. [Nasdaq: CMTL], has received a $1 million follow-on order for satellite equipment from a cellular operator in Southeast Asia. The company did not disclose the name of the cellular operator. The project consists of 18 sites. More sites are planned in the coming months. The order includes Comtech EF Data’s CDM-600 modems with Turbo Product Code (TPC) and C-Band CSAT 50-Watt Transceivers. The equipment will be used for interconnecting several GSM cellular coverage areas with a satellite data link.
