Lanham, Md.-based Integral Systems [Nasdaq: ISYS] is installing a direct broadcast ground terminal at the Institute for the Application of Geospatial Technology (IAGT) at Cayuga Community College in Auburn, New York. The terminal will receive and process satellite Earth science data from the MODIS imaging instrument aboard the National Aeronautics and Space Administration‘s Terra and Aqua satellites. The IAGT is working on programs to bring geospatial technology to the classroom, to disseminate satellite and other data through Web-based tools, and to use satellite data to track forest fires.
