New Skies, Intertrade Brasil Ink Deal

      New Skies Satellites [NYSE: NSK], the Netherlands-based satellite communications company, has inked an agreement with Intertrade Brasil to expand broadband communication services throughout Brazil and Latin America using New Skies’ NSS-806 satellite. Applications that can be offered over the new broadband platform include file transfer, software upgrades, live transmission for corporate applications, Internet/Intranet access and content distribution for kiosks and shops.

      Intertrade, the satellite business unit of telecom service provider Casablanca providing transmission and reception of integrated services such as audio, video and multimedia, has offices in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janiero, Porto Alegre and Brasilia.
