By Staff Writer | September 29, 2003

DirecTV, an El Segundo, Calif.-based satellite TV subsidiary of Hughes Electronics Corp. [NYSE: GMH], has increased its full-year guidance for net subscriber additions and revenues. DirecTV now expects subscriber additions to reach approximately 1.05 million, compared with the prior guidance of approximately 900,000. The company also increased its revenue guidance for this year’s third quarter and full-year to $1.93 billion and $7.6 billion, respectively. DirecTV attributed the increases to higher demand for its NFL Sunday Ticket package. Hughes is scheduled to report its third-quarter earnings on Oct. 14.
