SkyStream Networks, a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based provider of video networking solutions to satellite operators and telecom providers, has secured additional private funding from strategic investors. Investors include Comcast Interactive Capital, AOL Time Warner, Shaw Communications and Amerindo Investment Advisors, The current funding, combined with the $25 million investment from venture capital firms 3i US, Crosslink Capital, Granite Global Ventures, Integral Capital, IVP, Mayfield, and Norwest Venture Partners, brings the total to $29 million raised this year and provides SkyStream with a strong cash position until profitability.
