Globecomm Systems [Nasdaq: GCOM], a provider of end-to-end satellite-based communications solutions, has been awarded a contract from engineering, construction, and project management firm Bechtel in support of the U.S. government’s Iraq infrastructure reconstruction program. Under the terms of the contract, Globecomm will implement an international gateway in Iraq to provide voice, fax and data services via satellite.
