Satellite-based telematics operator Satamatics, in partnership with its service provider SecTrack, is supplying satellite-based location tracking technology and services to the 68 yachts taking part in the Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race, which started July 26. The race runs for 384-nautical miles along the eastern seaboard of Australia – from Sydney Harbour to Southport.

During the run-up to the race, SecTrack worked with Sydney-based satellite communications specialist TC Communications to ensure that the participating yachts were equipped with the Satamatics miniature satellite terminals.
