By Staff Writer | July 17, 2003

E! Networks, one of the largest entertainment channel providers in the United States, is seeking a number of deals with European pay-TV satellite operators in the coming months. The channel provider recently has opened up an office in London and is talking with a number of Europe’s big players to boost its presence in Europe. Kevin MacLellan, senior VP International E! Networks told Satellite Today: “Our plan is to get the channel into as many territories as possible. Currently, we are just in The Netherlands and in the UK. We have a lot of places to go from there. We are talking to all the people such as Canal+, TPS in France, Sogecable in Spain, Sky Italia in Italy and to many cable operators in places such as Switzerland as well as eastern and central Europe.”

An exclusive in-depth interview with Kevin MacLellan can be found in the July 23rd issue of Inside Digital TV. For more information about subscribing to PBI Media’s satellite newsletters, check out our Web site at https://www.satellitetoday.com
