Europe*Star CEO Sets Aggressive Targets

Europe*Star CEO Yves De La Serre said he expects his company to improve the fill rates on its satellites. De La Serre told SATELLITE TODAY: “We are targeting to increase significantly this year the number of transponders, which are leased and we are working hard on that with some success. This is the main challenge. We currently have 13 transponders leased on a full-time basis. In addition we have a couple of others, which are used for occasional use services. A challenging target is to increase that number by 50 percent this year. More realistically, we will be above 15 transponders [i.e., above 50 percent fill rate] at year end.”
