The European broadband satellite venture Satlynx wasted little time in naming Paul Heinerscheid to replace Yves Elsen as its new president and CEO. Elsen announced he would be stepping down at the end of August. Heinerscheid had been working as a consultant to SES Global [Luxembourg: SESG] before he agreed to head Satlynx, which is a venture of SES Global, Gilat Satellite Networks [Nasdaq: GILTF] and Alcatel Space, a unit of Alcatel [NYSE: ALA]. Previously, Heinerscheid was president and CEO of Satellite Network Systems, and managing director and CEO of Global Radio.
