XATA [Nasdaq: XATA], a Minneapolis, Minn.-based provider of fleet management products for the commercial trucking industry, has been awarded orders totaling $1.8 million by an undisclosed company in the grocery industry. The orders cover installation of XATA’s onboard computers and mobile application modules equipped with GPS and Wi-Fi communications capabilities in over 500 of the customer’s trucks. XATA recently began shipping system components and plans to complete the order in this quarter.
