Orbital Plans To Launch ORBIMAGE’s Orbview 3 This Week

OrbView 3, a high-resolution imaging satellite developed and built by Orbital Sciences Corp. [NYSE: ORB], is scheduled to be launched Thursday aboard a Pegasus rocket.

Orbital Imaging (ORBIMAGE) will be the owner and operator of the satellite, which is to be positioned in its final operational orbit 470 kilometers above the Earth, inclined at 97 degrees to the equator. The launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California is scheduled to occur between 2:50 p.m. to 3:04 p.m. (EDT).
