Flight Explorer, Arlington, Va.- based provider of Internet-based flight tracking and information systems, and Blue Sky Network, a La Jolla, Calif.-based satellite communications company, are partnering to provide worldwide satellite-based aircraft tracking.

Blue Sky Network has developed a new Iridium-based solution, the BSN D-1000. In partnership with Flight Explorer, the BSN D-1000 network brings independent online flight tracking to a more competitive price level. Using the Iridium satellite system, Blue Sky Network can provide communication technology in near-real time to and from the aircraft.
